Workers must be unlocked by completing 20 contracts per person to gain reputation with the locals (you must only complete 20 contracts per person that have access to all workers everything after the initial 20 contracts are solely locked on the fact you have to have a room for them to stay in) and having a room for them to stay in the room for the worker to stay in must come after purchasing your own house and own property you are not allowed to have more workers than you have rooms for your workers to stay in
You must rotate crops in other words you are not allowed to plant the same crop twice in a row on the same field (for example if you plant canola on field 4 after you harvest that canola you are not allowed to plant canola back in field 4 you must plant something else in field 4 before you are allowed to replant canola)
